Information: I bought an SV1000 as my first bike in 2006, did my first trackday in September that year on the thou . I raced for half of my rookie season in MiniTwins in 2007, when I was 27 (hence my race number) and have done pretty much two full seasons since! I’m just over 6ft, so the SV650 is a better choice for me than the 400 because it is not as cramped (it’s also cheaper to buy and run!).

Every weekday, I commute into London on my second bike, an 07 ZX10. I do at least 320 miles a week to Stevenage and from my banking job in The City. In mid-2009 I bought a KTM LC4 to do some off-roading on and will buy a set of Motox wheels for it to use over winter with my other half. My enthusiasm more than makes up for my experience and in the 3 or 4 years since I started riding, I have probably gained the experience of a fair-weather rider with about 10 years’ experience…!

My life now revolves around bikes and in addition to racing, I am involved with Londonbikers.com and Hertfordshire Biker Magazine and am very much into my rideouts and bike meets. I go to MotoGP, WSB and BSB events and have been to the Isle of Man GP too. I liked the circuit layout and would very much like to try road racing and endurance racing at some point. I had a go as a passenger in a sidecar, too and loved it.

For Bemsee, I have done some marshalling on the startline and ‘in the field’ and enjoyed it very much. It’s a good way to learn your flags and see how to deal with racing situations from a technical and practical perspective. It also helps to see what is expected of you as a rider.

I can help out on track days and at race meets with spare SVs which are for hire, the proceeds from which go to cash prizes for rider improvement during the next MiniTwin season. So if you fancy a go on an SV before committing to the series, or you just want to chat about the series, or racing in general, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Obviously trackday availability is restricted but I am more likely to be able to help out on a non-racing weekend than during the week, due to limited holidays. Otherwise I can be contacted by mobile, on Facebook or Motoforum.net (supergirl) and by email: racecontrol@200mhp.co.uk.
