| The ACU Clubman’s F1 Sidecar Championship - February Update |
The recent issue with the Clubman Licence level and the ACU Clubman's Title is now resolved. All National Licence holders will now be eligible to compete for the ACU Clubmans F1 Title. In Sidecar races at BMCRC this year, F1 teams are therefore competing for both the BMCRC F1 Championship and the ACU Clubman F1 Championship. The ACU has agreed to change the interpretation of the reference "Clubman" in the title, "ACU Clubmans F1 Championship". It is now intended to refer to true Club-level riders, irrespective of licence grade. Therefore as long as a rider is eligible against all other criteria they will be competing for the ACU Clubmans F1 Title when racing at BMCRC....(ie: they are not listed as a Permanent Team at the BofB or running with International Licences) Supplementary Regs are revised therefore as follows: The ACU CLUBMANS F1 Sidecar Championship: Open to teams with riders holding Clubman or National ACU or SACU licences (or International equivalent) only, any grade of passenger will be accepted. Riders who have competed regularly at National FSRA “Cup” events in the last 3 years will be reviewed for entry on a case by case basis. Prize Funds are as follows... The End of Season Prize Fund will be split as follows...
